The hotel building with is located on frontline to the beach. The rooms are small but very practical and all have a private bathroom with shower. Zoe Resort is situated on the front line of a beautiful beach on the northern side of the Navarino Bay in the village of Gialova in Western Messinia in the Peloponnese region. It is only 6km from a picturesque city of Pylos and 45km from the capital of the region Kalamata.
Today Gialova is a resort village and tourist destination for its beautiful location and a variety of dining possibilities: great taverns and fine dining, international cuisine restaurants, Greek fast food, coffee shops, bars, ice cream parlors and services: supermarkets, beauty parlors, ATM machine, souvenir shops.
As far as sightseeing you are very close to some of the very important historical sites in Greece such as: Nestor’s Palace (12 km), Paleokastro (4 km), Pylos Castle (6 km), Methoni Castle (17 km), Ancient Messene (53 km).
Relax at one of the beautiful sandy beaches such as renowned Voidokilia (9 km), Golden beach (2 km), Petrochori and Romanos beach (8 km) or Gialova’s beach (200m).
The hotel: Our organic vegetables are grown with our own seeds, which we store year after year as in the old days. Using only natural fertilizers, our tomatoes, courgettes, etc. are especially tasty, and most important, healthy. We strongly believe that healthy food is at the base of a healthy life! Messinia is the land of the olive oil. As a matter of fact, more than 11 millions of olive trees grow in the region, producing a very special oil. We too produce our own Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which we care for as with all other produces of our land. We follow the oil production from the very beginning, from the tending of the trees to the very last cold moment of the olive pressing and bottling. This ensures a healthy oil of the best standards.
"Arriving at Zoe had a very warm welcome and immediately felt like the kids at home with the staff. The resort is a family business with excellent staff."
"We liked especially to be able to walk and cycle to other wonderful beaches and around the lagoon Gialova (Flamingos, otters, kingfishers). You can rent bicycles from a store nearby was a very reasonable price."
"We enjoyed our stay at Zoe and would gladly recommend it to any potential visitors. It has both were excellent: the location and the hospitality of the owners and his team."
Breakfast and dinner at the hotel was very good with fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables. There are also many other restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. The pool was excellent and a good size (25m) despite the fact that the water could be clearer, is rather hazy on both visits. Overall, a wonderful place.
Although not stayed at Zoe, was our beach house. This is the fourth visit to this excellent resort. The owners and staff always remember us, the love of strangers. The food is excellent, do not miss the fantastic Basil Smash cocktail. On our last day, there was a monsoon shower, so protected from the restaurant, where the owner gave us dry towels and made us feel part of the family. Thank you all for such a wonderful time, a special mention to Angelica, what lovely lady and the pieces of cake were so welcome after a morning dip in the sea. We look forward to seeing you all next year.
after the hotel pool and beach restaurant in between so they can get breakfast and meals almost on the beach. The beach is excellent. The entire bay is 70 percent land locked and therefore, even when blowing the sea is very calm for swimming. Mostly sandy and kids loved it. Again many sunbeds available almost all the time. The restaurant serves a good breakfast with excellent fresh bread and usually some kind of eggs and sausage etc. And fresh orange juice. Although there are many small restaurants nearby opted for half board. The archiservitoros was a gem and we always offered something different every day, fresh fish and of course the local squid. For our boys almost everything you want from pasta with french fries and hamburger with crispy fish without bones. Salads and vegetables are very fresh and very from the resort gardens and orchards. We tried to be hard to think of anything bad here and it was not always that small problem resolved quickly by family or staff.
Here the prices were very reasonable and certainly locally compared to the Greek islands. The guests were about 75% of Greeks, 20% the British and the Americans and Europeans rest. Many items to see if you want a trip with visits to beaches, waterfalls, beaches and other towns in the region. We have already booked for next year we enjoyed it so much.
